Angel is 17 years old and lives with her mom in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a type of bone cancer, on Oct. 23, 2013. After 26 chemotherapy treatments, six weeks of radiation, a major surgery that removed her tumor along with three ribs and numerous hospital stays for fever and other complications, Angel finally finished treatment (in December) and is getting back to a somewhat “normal” life. She thanks God every day for getting her through this fight and placing amazing people in her life along the way to help her. Angel loves painting and sketching, theater, playing guitar, ukulele, piano and flute, spending time with her family and friends, and watching movies. Her dream is to be a makeup artist on Broadway.
