Katie is our Program and Volunteer Coordinator! She oversees various volunteer programs, writes grants, and oversees our Home Away from Home apartments. Katie visits Children’s of Alabama once a week to deliver Boredom Busters along with gift cards, toys, and other goodies to patients and families. Katie graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. Katie taught Pre-K for two years at a local elementary school while God led her heart toward non-profit ministry in 2019. She loves getting to know and develop relationships with patients, families, and volunteers through aTeam Ministries! Katie and her husband, Hayden, welcomed their first child, Shepherd, into the world in 2022. They have two pups, Milo and Sweetie, and love spending time outdoors as a family!
