Andy’s passion for helping families coping with pediatric cancer shows in everything he does. He has been the full-time leader of aTeam Ministries since 2011. Day-to-day he manages the overall operations of the ministry along with helping facilitate financial development to support the ministries goals and programs. As a parent of a child that had pediatric cancer he believes he can relate to all of the highs and lows that a family goes through on their journey. Andy earned a bachelor of science in Business Management from Auburn University in 1997, and worked in the telecom services industry for more than 10 years when his family’s life was rocked by his son’s cancer diagnosis. Today, the family is happy to report that Anderson (age 13) is cancer free and enjoying being all boy playing outside as much as possible. Daughter Avery, at age 16, is quickly becoming a good cook. When they are not ministering to others, the Thrower family enjoys watching most sporting events – especially Auburn Football.
